ZETA® Instruments

For over 4 decades, ZETA instruments have delivered cutting-edge design and functionality to the world of electric analog/digital violins. Violinists Jean-Luc Ponty, Vanessa Mae, Eileen Ivers, Mark O'Connor, Charlie Daniels, and many others, have pushed the boundaries of the instrument, blending classical techniques with modern genres. Their innovative styles incorporate jazz, rock, electronic, folk, and Irish influences. Through virtuosic performances and creative compositions, these artists have expanded the instrument's role in contemporary music . . . showcasing the violin's versatility.

Renowned for the silky-smooth tone of the Jazz Fusion, the raw acoustic edge of the Strados Modern, or the full-bodied traditional voice of the EV Acoustic Pro, ZETA satisfies every musical taste. These professional instruments amplify the creativity and expression of artists, enhancing performances and inspiring limitless musical innovation.

ZETA Violins owner and lead luthier Steve Carlson, well known for his Flatiron Mandolins (1980-1993), as well as his 7 years at Gibson resurrecting the Gibson mandolin line (1987-1993), is pleased with ZETA's dominance in the electric violin world. 'We have a small team dedicated to quality and it is a joy to work each day continually perfecting our craft while producing great instruments for players worldwide.'

Carlson (with over 10,000 mandolin builds already to his name), showcased both a MIDI 5-string jazz mandolin in 2019, and a new acoustic/electric traditional mandolin with pickup in 2020, expanding ZETA’s product line.

Since 2012, ZETA has crafted over 1,200 electric violins, ensuring their legacy continues to inspire and support a new generation of players . . . their sound and their artistry.
